Poison Glen - Glenveagh
Difficulty: Moderate
14 km
3.5 - 5.0 hours

A long 14km trek through the wilderness of the Poison Glen and down the Glenveagh Valley to the castle. The terrain in the glen is rough, heathery and can be boggy as you approach the seemingly impenetrable granite cliffs but a gully on the left allows easy access to the ridge. Once you summit the ridge take time to enjoy the views back into Dunlewy.

Carry on eastwards towards Glenveagh, when you reach the road turn left and the access to the Bridle Path is about 200m away. The Bridal Path descends into the valley and is particularly scenic. Its an 8km walk to the Castle and the tearooms for a well deserved treat.
